Job Title:  Future Innovators Development Worker

Responsible to:   Youth Work Manager

Timescale:  Until March 2023 

Location:  Donegal Youth Service HQ, Letterkenny

Hours:  35 hours per week

Salary:  Donegal Youth Service Youth Worker point 4 €32,667

Future Innovators 

Focused on the Urban Village areas of Belfast and Derry/Londonderry and the Border Counties, the Future Innovators project seeks to build the capacity of local communities to tackle local social problems through the adoption of innovative social solutions. 

The project will be delivered by Co-operation Ireland, in partnership with Belfast Interface Project, Donegal Youth Service, the University of Essex and Animorph Co-operative. It is supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)

Job purpose: 

The Development Worker will be a member of the Consortium staff team working to deliver the project using innovative  technology and software, and will also participate in training and facilitation workshops. The post-holder will be expected to maintain high quality standards in all aspects of the role and to advise the Project Manager of any necessary changes required in order to maintain best practice in this area.

  • The suitable candidate will have a third level Qualification in Community Development or another relevant subject.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, in the area of community relations or community development
