World Wide Voices
The World Wide Voices Project is an International Youth Work Project, which has been operating at Donegal Youth Service for over 10 years. It promotes social cohesion by connecting with young people from different ethnic backgrounds via social education initiatives.
Throughout the years World Wide Voices has worked on a wide variety of projects including working with the European No Hate Speech Movement, Show Racism the Red Card, Employment Projects and more. The group meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm.
Socialising
Joining the project is an excellent way to both make new friends and renew old friendships.
Advocacy
The World Wide Voices Project Advocates on behalf of young people living in Donegal regarding:
- Legal rights and entitlements
- Citizenship and visa issues
- Access to education and finance
Sport
World Wide Voices uses the unique power of sport to unite people.
Music
Music is an exceptional way to break down barriers between people. We offer rehearsal space, live gigs, and songwriting workshops.
Political Engagement
- Ensure that the voices of seldom heard people are heard and acted upon.
- Engage with local politicans and community decision making structures.
