Donegal Youth Service Projects
Donegal Youth Service offer a range of services for all young people. We take an integrated approach so young people are welcome to use as many of our services that are suitable for them, and our staff work together to ensure the needs of each young person are met.
Aspire
Two of our longest running projects ‘The Daybreak Programme’ and Youth Outreach Project’ merged into an exciting new project called ‘Aspire’ under a new funding stream ‘UBU, Your Place, Your Space’ from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Inclusion & Youth (DCEDIY). READ MORE…
BreakOUT
BreakOut is youth project focused on LGBTI+ young people, their friends and allies aged between 12 and 30 years. The project operates a weekly drop-in provision in Letterkenny and Ballybofey as well as training, residentials, peer support, information and one to one support. READ MORE…
CE (Community Employment)
The DYS Community Employment Project employs 18 participants and 1 supervisor, which is funded by the Department of Social Protection and provides valuable support to the staff and volunteers around the county enhancing the services that the DYS can supply to young people and the local communities. Digitize Enterprise
Digitize Enterprise is a project which is co-funded by Erasmus + programme and brings together a consortium of 5 partner organisations from throughout Europe. The aim of the project is to provide a series of virtual learning tools and platforms for Practitioners and participants of Youth Programmes throughout Europe with the target of increasing Enterprise awareness and skills of youth members. LOFT (Learning Opportunities For Teens)
The LOFT is a Health Advice project for young people aged 12 to 18 years through which they make friends, develop skills and overcome difficulties in their lives. Our Generation
OUR Generation is a cross-border partnership project which is delivered through seven regional organisations, namely Action Mental Health, Donegal Youth Service, Co-Operation Ireland, Youth Action NI, Youthwork Ireland, PlayBoard NI and Ulster University. Donegal Youth Service works with young people in primary and secondary education as well as ages 18+. UP!
The ‘Unlocking your Potential (UP) project will target a small cohort of 16-25 year old’s not currently in education, training or employment, who are vulnerable to polarisation, come from complex and difficult backgrounds, and therefore are most at risk of marginalisation and disadvantage. Youth Information Centre (YIC)
Letterkenny Youth Information Centre provide a free, confidential information service to young people and those who work with them. The centre managed by Donegal Youth Service, operates a one stop shop approach where all the information is available under the one roof. READ MORE…
Youth Talk Donegal
Feel like nobody cares? We do. Are you a young person struggling to deal with some issues in your life? Youth Talk Donegal is a free and confidential one-to-one support service for young people aged 12-25 years. Youthscape
Youthscape is a cross community and cross border programme for 14-24 year olds which is young person centred. The programme focuses on 3 key areas; Personal Development, Good Relations and Citizenship. A joint project between South West College and TIDES Training.
