Attention Donegal Community Groups working with Young People aged 13-24
You are invited to attend a meeting in Donegal Youth Service, Letterkenny on Tuesday the 14th of May
As you know Peace IV funding is now on offer through various organisations in a range of geographical/project areas of Donegal. In order to ensure a fair distribution of opportunity of access for all young people across the entire county of Donegal, I would like to meet with you to discuss programmes and activities for young people aged 13 – 24 yrs. All funded organisations will have a brief to deliver to the aims of the Peace IV programme, and organisations already have predetermined areas to work in, but we know that there are other areas that may not benefit from the funding if we cannot determine where they are and what their capacity is.
The meeting will have a dual function; firstly it is an opportunity to hear from the organisations who have accessed funding and would like to work with your young people and secondly, it is an opportunity for your organisation to make suggestions about where is best to target and support young people (bearing in mind and keeping to the ethos of the Peace IV programme, including outcomes and outputs.)
One of the main stipulations of Peace IV is that no young person can access more than one
Peace programme so we do not want to be duplicating services in one area and then having no service in other areas.
I would appreciate it if you could attend a meeting in DYS Headquarters, Letterkenny at 2pm on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
If you are aware of any other group that you think would be interested in attending the meeting, please feel free to invite them along.
Please Note: This is not a meeting to access funding or to direct programme content, it is an explanatory meeting to make sure fair representation and allocation of programmes and activities to young people in your area/group/project/programme across the county.
