ATLIC will create a new approach for innovation and youth entrepreneurship in the
development of the blue economy of the Atlantic Area.
The general objective of ATLIC is to build an Atlantic Innovation Pilot Blue Community based on open
innovation laboratories, knowledge transfer and capacity development, and support
networks to develop market solutions to common challenges in the Atlantic.
The project focus uses the Four helix model of bringing together youth, academics, SMEs, institutions
(public and private) and encouraging their active participation in the community.
Atlantic Communities
Integration
ATLIC is the first project to bring together entrepreneurial youth, innovation, training, entrepreneurial spirit and the support of the Atlantic Area networks in a cooperative model of communicative construction.
Creation
The Cluster of our project is support for young innovators and entrepreneurs, under new approaches to the challenge of youth unemployment and the need for new skills and opportunities within the Blue Economy.
Labs
ATLIC offers its open innovation laboratories, knowledge communities and acceleration processes to ideate, create and scale market oriented solutions.
ATLIC creates the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC). An open space for training and knowledge (Open Academy) will be created so that all interested young people can enjoy an ecosystem of innovation.
COOPERATION
Challenges
The blue economy, youth unemployment and sustainable development are transnational in nature and require a coordinated effort to develop joint solutions. It allows partners to share knowledge and best practices from different areas of influence.
Young drivers
ATLIC seeks to empower young people to be leaders of sustainable economic development. In return, they are offered resources and opportunities beyond local communities.
Networks
The creation of transnational networks, including eNetwork and Cluster will connect all interested parties. These networks must have a transnational focus to reach a critical mass of interested parties and enable the project to create new ones related to it and identify the potential for spin-off communities that can explain our Community model.
