Volunteer Information

Letterkenny Youth Information Centre is always looking for volunteers to support and compliment the work of the centre. The Letterkenny Youth Information Centre has been fortunate that apart from the voluntary Board of Directors of the Donegal Youth Service, volunteers have been involved in all different areas of information provision, as well as specific programmes, i.e. personal development and peer education.  These volunteers receive induction training from staff and are supported in their work alongside staff in the Centre programmes. Also Donegal Youth Service provides an NOCN Accredited course in Youth Leadership training, which they can avail of. Contact the centre for a Volunteer Application Form now.

The Youth Information Centre also actively encourage work placements on a regular basis. Usually the placements are on a 2-4 week duration. However when circumstances permit we will accommodate work placements for a longer duration. The Centre has developed an application form and continually maintain links with the local schools and training centres.  As a result, local schools, organisations and agencies see the Youth Information Centre as a valuable part of work experience for student.
