Albert Schweitzer's Leadership for life: The programme is for young people aged 15 to 18 and aims to develop the skills, inspiration, vision, confidence and action plans to be effective leaders. It is a year long programme and the places are available to St Eunans TY Students and a few might be available to others depending on successful application. A Foundation Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action can also be accredited by the NUI Galway. For more information please contact Dori Rien on 0867800128

Letterkenny's Top Teens: Do you like the town you live in??? Is there something you would like to change??? Do you thing young people like yourself, aged 14 to 15, are able to change things for the better??? This group will enable you to make a positive difference to the world around you. HIFY – Health Initiative for Youth: the HIFY group successfully applied for funding to develop a peer education based mental health project. The group members will develop a training pack on mental health and deliver this to young people, teachers and youth leaders. For more information please speak to Orla

JC Support: Are you doing the junior cert this year? Would you like a space to study with your friends, learn about skills for studying, planning your time goal setting, maths revision, relaxation and memory boosters. For more information please speak to Orla in the LOFT.

Events committee: Ever see yourself as a party planner? Combine the skills of event management and education, the events committee will develop health events for their peers and work with staff to plan entertainment events in the LOFT drop-in. For more information please speak to Orla in the LOFT.

Mind Yourself: How to go about minding yourself and your friends. The group will give young people the opportunity to explore situations in which decision making will have impact on safety and well being, discuss dilemmas and learn about a range of topics including personal safety, socialising safely, drugs & alcohol, decision making, relationships & sexuality. Young Women’s Group: Young women’s group will engage a group of young women in activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle and develop interpersonal and social skills in a structured setting. Some of the topics covered include, communication, developing personal and social skills, respect,
relationships, assertiveness skills, legal and illegal substances and how they influence our lives. . For more information please speak to Sharon in the LOFT.

Youth Achievement Awards: The awards are designed to help develop more effective participative practice by encouraging young people to progressively take more responsibility in selecting, planning
and leading activities that are based on their interests and the needs of young people. A group of young people will meet together on a regular basis to support each other in the planning and reviewing of Youth Achievement challenges. . For more information please speak to Sharon in the LOFT.
